In a Largely Negative Race, Brown Now Goes Positive

After a spate of negativity against Elizabeth Warren, Senator Scott P. Brown is up on the air Tuesday across Massachusetts with a positive TV commercial promoting his independence.
The homey ad, set to soft piano music, comes after a poll last week showed the United States Senate race in a dead heat. It also showed that a vast majority of voters thought the ancestry issue on which the Brown campaign has been hammering Ms. Warren was insignificant.
