EPA (Environmental Protection Agency)

On the left, the EPA is often favorably seen as a necessary and positive entity responsible for protecting the environment - and one thus typically portrayed as needing greater funding and enforcement powers.

On the right, by contrast, the EPA is often regarded as an incompetent, out of control, tyrannical agency that violates the rights of property owners and prioritizes marginal “species” (such as the snail darter) over quality of life for human beings.
