Body found in Leesburg lake; cause of death under investigation

LEESBURG, Fla. – The body of a 67-year-old man was found Monday in a Leesburg lake, according to the police department. Officers received reports of a body floating in Lake Harris around 7:15 p.m., according to a news release. Officials said the victim is a 67-year-old man, who was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified; however, his name is being withheld until it is confirmed that his next of kin has been notified, police said.
