WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI -- All lanes of northbound U.S. 23 were briefly closed on Friday morning due to a vehicle fire. The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office asked people to avoid the area of northbound US-23 near Michigan Avenue in Pittsfield Township around 10:30 a.m. A semitruck had caught on fire, temporarily blocking all lanes, according to Derrick Jackson, spokesperson for the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.
