White House says Russia ‘losing’ war in Ukraine

The White House said Monday that Russia is “losing” its war in eastern Ukraine and warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s regime faces more sanctions this week by the U.S. and its European allies.
“On the battlefield itself, the Ukrainians are doing very well,” said Tony Blinken, White House deputy national security adviser. “Russia’s proxies are losing the fight.”
